A Quick Guide to Buying Green Coffee for Small Roasters
This video is a brief guide to buying green (raw) coffee for small roasteries. It will walk you through the most common processes that happen once an importer gets in touch.
Such processes will include; what the most common method of contact is, how you can ratify whether the company is a legitimate one or not and what you will expect to receive from them in communication. Does the company have a Q Grader on their staff list? Do their company values align with yours? Do they have coffee that suits you price, volume and availability? Along the way, I'll give some examples of what we do at Blending Room.
In time, I will do a more in depth look at the supply chain, but for now, this is a good synopsis of what to expect when buying green coffee from a UK coffee importer.
