Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: "The Pilot", arranged by David Handler
Reimagined by (Le) Poisson Rouge founder David Handler and performed with Ensemble LPR, this concert featured unique arrangements of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah material for a string quartet. Alec Ounsworth, better known as indie icon Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, joined the LPR X season for a unique chamber concert that challenged popular and classical concert convention.
This arrangement uses a brushed bow technique and foot stomps to re-create the different rhythmic textures on the album, and glissandi (sliding figures) in the upper strings for the ethereal vocal lines that end the song.
