Butterfly Effect Mural- Southgate Market
This is a video compilation of the installation of a Butterfly Effect Mural at the Southgate Market in Chicago Illinois.
Charlie McDermott, along with two of his students Elijah Boykin and Aidan Chavez, painted a Chicago Flag themed design Butterly Effect Mural. The video shows a time-lapse of the entire 3 day process of painting. The end of the video shows how the public reacted and interacted with the installation.
Southgate Market is located in the West Loop in Chicago Illinois. They sponsored the painting as a philanthropic endeavor. They plan to donate at least $1000 to the Greater Food Bank of Chicago. Each person who posts a photograph with the painting #butterflyeffect #southgatemarket will have a $5 donation in their name.

Butterfly Effect is a social and philanthropic art installation originally developed by Tasha Wahl in 2013, and there are now installations across the globe. The message is simple, echoing Gandi's belief that we must be the change we wish to see in this world.
