Beat Making With Virtual Instruments on the MPC 2500 (JJOS-OS3)
I was in the mood to make something by just using plug-in virtual instruments. What I did was I used the MPC as a controller to play the VSTs from my DAW, while I sampled my performance back into the MPC. Then I chopped it up like I would any sample.
The benefit is that the instruments won't sound as clean as the original because now it's coming out of the MPC. It's just a different approach to beat making that is a nice challenge sometimes.
