The Single Arm Dumbbell Swing is an excellent hip hinge move that targets the glutes and hamstrings. If you don’t have a kettlebell, this is a solid alternative to the single arm kettlebell swing.

Here's how to do it properly:
1. Stand with a wider than hip-width stance, holding a dumbbell in front of your waist with one hand using an overhand grip.
2. To start the movement, hinge at your hips, with a slight bend in your knees, bringing your torso to a 45-degree angle to the floor.
3. Let the dumbbell swing between your legs, then thrust your hips forward and squeeze your glutes to swing the dumbbell up to chest level.
4. Remember, your arm is just a guide – all the power comes from your hip thrust.
5. Reverse the movement and repeat for reps with the same arm.
6. Once you hit your rep goal with one arm, switch arms and repeat.
