A magnesium deficiency and potassium deficiency can feel very similar, and it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes, but there are different signs that can help differentiate the two.

Signs of a magnesium and/or potassium deficiency:
Heart palpitations
Arrhythmias
High blood pressure
Constipation
Weakness/Fatigue
Cramping

Signs of a magnesium deficiency:
Trouble relaxing or falling asleep at night
Anxiety and/or depression
Muscle twitches/spasms
Cramping (at night, or while relaxing)

Signs of a potassium deficiency:
Cramping (while working out, or during other physical activities)
Dizziness
Nausea
Abdominal bloating
