Hi, this is Matt Crawford, and this is a video on how to resize an image online. While you can resize an image quite easily in software like Photoshop or other image editing tools, sometimes you just want a quick and straightforward online solution. I’ve found a great website for this purpose.
The site I like to use is ILoveIMG.com, specifically their Resize Image tool. I’ll include the link in the description below for easy access. It’s simple, fast, and supports various file formats, including JPEGs, PNGs, SVGs, and GIFs.
Here’s how it works:
1. Head to the website, and you’ll see an option to either drag and drop an image or click Select Images.
2. I’ve prepared an image for this demo, so I’ll select it now. Once the image uploads, it appears in the preview window.
3. You’ll see options to adjust the width and height in pixels manually. You can maintain the aspect ratio (which I highly recommend to avoid distortion) by ensuring the Maintain Aspect Ratio box is checked.
4. Alternatively, you can resize the image by percentage. The options are 25%, 50%, or 75% smaller.
For this demo, I’ll reduce the image by 25%. You’ll notice the size adjusts automatically in the preview. For instance, my original image is 1456px by 816px, and resizing by 25% brings it down to 1092px by 612px.
Once you’ve set your desired size:
Click the Resize Images button.
The tool processes your image and generates a resized version.
Finally, click Download Images, and the resized file will be saved directly to your computer.
