Kingsnake
Kingsnake - Eastern Kingsnake to be exact. This is a female King snake that I found while in a wetlands habitat herping for reptiles and amphibians. I just love these big black snakes and was thrilled to find this jewel. Kingsnakes are not venomous and are harmless unless you are another snake. Thats right, they like to feed on other snakes including dangerous species. Being colubrids, they subdue their prey by constriction NOT by using venom or as sometimes mistakenly referred to as "poison". #shorts #snakes #herping
