Self love doesn’t fit well into the capitalist system.
Real self love is slow. It’s a few basics applied over and over again. It’s not flashy. There isn’t a constant ‘advanced’ technique to trade your money for.
Self love isn’t about constant improvement. Constant evolution. Constant upgrading and uplevelling.
Self love isn’t about consuming products and buying programs. It’s not very good for the economy.
Self love tells you that you’re good enough how you are - and if all of us believed that so much of what is being sold these days would cease to have a market.
Self love tells you it’s ok to rest sometimes. To not be productive. To not keep striving to be your higher or best self. Meaning you’re not always feeling insecure enough that you can’t witness what’s going on around you and decide you want to do something about it.
Self love isn’t ever going to ‘sell’ because there’s very little TO sell.
Some basic concepts, practiced over and over, leading to less production and less consumption.
This is why it’s not actually popular. Not the real path.
We likely have to get used to this.
You’re worth the real thing, not the monotonized facsimile.
