Using the Sampling Profiler in PIX Timing Captures
This video covers some of the features of the Sampling Profiler that is built into Timing Captures. The Sampling Profiler is useful in several scenarios. For example, analyzing samples can help you get a sense for what code is executing in areas of your title that are only sparsely instrumented with PIX events. Samples can also tell you which functions in your title are called the most often, or take the most time to execute.
