Hey there! I’m Matt, and today I’m going to show you how to turn off those pesky Google Chrome notifications that pop up when you accidentally sign up for something on a website.
Let’s dive right in. First, you want to head to the top of your Chrome browser.
Click on the word “Chrome” located just to the left of the “File” option. This will open up a dropdown menu where you can select “Settings.”
Once you’re in the settings, you’ll see a sidebar on the left side of the screen.
From there, look for the option labeled “Privacy and Security.” Click on that to access more settings. Next, scroll down until you find “Site Settings.” Click on it, and you’ll see a section for “Notifications” in the middle of your screen.
This is where you can manage those annoying notification requests from websites. When you click on “Notifications,” you’ll notice that the default setting allows sites to send notifications.
If you want to stop this, look for the bell icon that says “Don’t allow sites to send notifications.” Click on that icon, and it will be crossed out, indicating that notifications are now disabled. It’s important to note that you don’t need to click a “Save” button or anything like that.
Once you make that selection, the changes will automatically take effect in your Google Chrome. If for some reason they don’t, you might need to quit Chrome and restart it, but usually, the settings should apply right away.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully turned off notifications in Google Chrome.
I hope you found this video helpful. If you did, please give it a thumbs up; it really helps out the channel.
