I love the look of this red clay body - but it will stain your hands if you spend enough time throwing with it on the potters wheel. It does keep some of the red tones when fired and I'll leave the exterior of the bowl unglazed so the clay can be appreciated.
The challenge for throwing bowls is keeping the curve a smooth line from the center all the way up to the rim. When I first started to learn how to throw on the wheel I wasn't too interested in creating bowls, but I've grown to understand and appreciate the craft of shaping a bowl. There are some subtle difficulties and throwing a bowl with a lovely profile is incredibly satisfying.
