2016-08-07 The Mathematics of The Mystery of God
The most mystical phenomena of human ingenuity, I believe, are the inventions and discoveries of Mathematics. Concepts, like integers, and negative numbers and zero and infinity, which we now take for granted, are actually deeply mystical. In today’s homily, I talk about the history and paradoxes of numbers and then go on to speak of the mathematics that enshrouds the notion of God.
