The more time you spend thinking about your KPI's, the more you should begin to realise that a Data Culture is a must in this day and age. It is impossible to have a ring-fence around your analysis and only have structured static content leave (PowerPoint). The expectation now and the capability is to be able to explore the data and dig into it. This is a two-edged sword, as shown in this video. Trust becomes a vital part of your success, and without it, you become bogged down in a mire of pointless analysis.
