Fossil fuels and world dominance
It is interesting to examine use of fossil fuels and how the world politics is dominated by certain countries. 19th Century England was the most dominant country in the world. It occupied large swath of the world and dominated the world economy. It also consumed 50 % of the fossil fuel in 19th century. As we compare the history and look at the present, China and United States consume about 42 % of the fossil fuel consumption today and dominate the world economy and the world politics. Without the use of fossil fuels, it is next to impossible to dominate the world politics.
