The gorgeous INDIGO FLYCATCHER, Borneo
How I enjoyed admiring this gorgeous little bird!
This beautiful flycatcher appeared to be a very self-assured little bird. It was perching quietly along a popular mountain trail, seemingly unfazed by the heavy human traffic.
Apparently this confident & tame trait is typical of this species.
From its mid-level perches, it sallied out every so often to catch flying insects.
There is no sexual dimorphism in this species, meaning that the female & male have similar plumage patterns.
The Indigo Flycatcher is common montane resident in Borneo. It is also found in Sumatra & Java.
