Looking as regal as it does, it is no wonder that this bird remains the target of birders (who long to admire) & poachers (who want more than just admire it)
This Bornean Peacock-pheasant is a rare endemic of Borneo.
In fact, this elusive & shy bird is the rarest of all the pheasants found in Borneo.
Due to habitat loss & hunting pressure this beautiful bird's conservation status is listed as Endangered.
