Free Bedding for the Chicken Coop
Hey there folks, thanks for joining me today for a quick chat about saving a few bucks on this upcoming chicken project. While I realize that bedding is probably not the most expensive part of raising chickens it is still an expense. As such, if I can avoid it then I will! Since I'm bringing down all those trees in the middle of the property I have ended up with several large piles of nice dry branches ... seems to me like that's a solution just waiting to be worked! From what I've been seeing, I need to get that bedding at least 8 inches deep for the type of composting I'm looking forward to and even deeper if I can pull it off.
