Using Little Rock data, the video goes over how to create a .25mile buffer around unsafe/vacant properties. The video shows both dissolved and non-dissolved buffers to walk through the differences. This is followed by a select by location (violence within buffer). Next, Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) was used to generate a hotspot map of homicide and aggravated assault for CY 2021.
