I purchased the X tool D1 with extended sidebars, plus the 20 W laser unit. I found a great way to exhaust and handle the smoke, but I needed a nice enclosure.
I purchased some racks for the basement, which is now being turned into a maker space. The enclosure sits beautifully on one of the racks, and all of the controls are nicely placed off to the side.
I will have plans available for this enclosure by the end of the week right here and the description. All in, this build cost about $225
The Xtool D1 is a fantastic machine to start my home business with. I am creating some incredible work that, over the coming weeks, I will begin to show you. I will still be creating videos like I used to, but I will add to the repertoire 3-D printers and laser engravers. I will be reviewing the products and showing you how I put them through their paces. I have missed creating videos on YouTube and although this is being created on my iPhone, my studio will soon be back in order and I’ll be able to make videos sitting on my desktop soon.
