This video is a breakdown of why and how my studio was created. I have had some inquiries as to how this space was designed and why it was created. I hope that this little video expresses a little about just how it all came about.

Good morning students jones here today we're going to look at color and color theory we're going to look how to create harmonious colors and how a choice of color might affect positively or negatively a logo or a business let's begin by looking at the color wheel the inspiration truly for creating this ultimate home studio was back in march or april i could see the landscape for education was changing very rapidly and i knew that i had to do something just as much for myself as it was for my students i love to create and make different things that show the principles that we're teaching so maybe i'll take in a sculpture maybe i'll take in something that was made out of cardboard maybe i'll show them the small electric wooden boat that i took all across america it's that constant making and creating showing to the students you never know what it is that thing that's going to spark or ignite a passion in them that for some is going to last a lifetime i thought to myself that if the student might see me create this that they might actually end up investing in themselves because i thought this might be a fun space you know i could have the news i could have quizzes uh pop quizzes i could uh have different segments and what have you so all of this is still evolving but um you know the ultimate reason and the purpose in the end is to help inspire and educate the students so what went into making this studio a lot of time and effort a lot of passion a lot of consistent daily work to make sure that it got done i already had the electronics the audio equipment the cameras and what have you what i didn't have was all the lighting fixtures the benjamin moore paint for the walls the camera jib and the boom for the microphone we got the lighting fixtures all around all of that had to be custom made and kind of put in place and made it so it looks good from afar from my wide-angle shots or a close-up or an overhead shot which i can do if i'm showing things to my students that require that it's just going through all the junk that was initially in this room because this was the house's dumping ground let's say but it's turned out pretty phenomenal and i often sit back on my couch in the corner just looking at everything just a little bit gobsmacked that i was able to uh pull this off and uh yeah it feels feels amazing the feedback i get from teachers and students alike has been pretty fantastic uh you know the the students love the clarity of the voice the video it just makes it a little bit like a tv show i had one student the other day say that mr jones he said if i had a studio like that in my bedroom my parents would find some way to make that the living room and i had a fellow teacher tell me when we were remote a week ago saying that my my husband listens to you every morning and he wants you to have a podcast to which i responded i do i have several so yeah it's just been it's just been absolutely wonderful and you know i wish i'd done this sooner but it really took a lot of organization and just time i needed that time and luckily over the summer i did have a little bit of that to to spare
