The Ultimate Remote Teaching Home Studio Reveal - BETTER Than Joe Rogan’s? I built a brand new home studio to remote teach from, out of the incredible mess that occupied this room previously. Since I am a high school teacher and knowing we might be remote teaching a good portion this year, I was inspired to finally clean out my office and turn it into a studio space of my dreams. After 600lbs of junk of items that did not belong in this room, I began designing and building a space to be the ultimate home studio for both remote teaching and my youtube videos. I have already begun filming the curriculum for Graphic Design and Digital Media that I teach 15 to 19-year-olds at a vocational high school, in Northern New Jersey.
The new studio build took around 5-6 weeks in total and cost me about $850. Although the main camera and podcasting equipment, I already had for years. I took apart the shelving unit that was there previously and created a workbench. This bench is both storage and a heavy-duty work surface.
I have about 9 or so packages of RGB lighting kits, Key light, fill light, backlights, and a spotlight. I also built a teleprompter and camera boom (jib) that the microphone also works great on.
I made sure to have lighting all around the room, so no matter where I place the cameras, I have a great background for the shot.
