Neptune 4 Pro New X-Axis Linear Rail Upgrade Installation Guide
Warning: Before starting, make sure to power off the machine and unplug the power cable. This video skips the steps for disassembling and reassembling the filament holder. Collect all parts and screws during disassembly for use during installation.
1.Unplug the nozzle wires and fan wires.
2.Remove the fan assembly from the X-axis extrusion.
3.Remove the two screws from the X-axis extrusion.
4.Loosen the X-axis belt tensioner.
5.Detach the ends of the timing belt from the nozzle assembly.
6.Remove the right-side belt tensioner.
7.Remove the entire nozzle assembly.
8.Detach the nozzle assembly from the pulley backplate.
9.Tighten the brass nut on the nozzle assembly.
10.Use M3*6 screws to secure the new backplate to the nozzle assembly.
11.Use M3*6 screws to secure the cable plate to the nozzle assembly.
12.Trim a little from both sides of the fan shroud with a knife or file. If upgrading or have already upgraded the Z-axis linear rail, you can skip this step.
13.Install the long beam onto the X-axis extrusion.
14.Use M3*5 screws to secure the linear rail to the long beam.
15.Reinstall the belt tensioner.
16.Use M3*5 screws to mount the complete nozzle assembly onto the slider. Note that two screws may be difficult to tighten. The screw pack includes two M3*6 hex screws, and you can also use needle-nose pliers or a wrench to tighten them.
17.Secure both ends of the timing belt to the backplate.
18.Use M4*35 screws to secure the fan assembly to the long beam.
19.Reconnect the nozzle wires and fan wires.
20.Adjust the timing belt to the proper tension.
