Tutorial for Replacing Slider Steel Balls with Silicon Nitride Ceramic Balls
Friendly reminder: The operations in this video require meticulous attention and a considerable amount of patience, so please choose carefully. You will need to have a pair of tweezers on hand.
1.Align the plastic track with the metal track, and slide the slider out onto the plastic track.
2.Slide the plastic track halfway off the slider, then use the tweezers to push the steel balls out of the slider.
3.Use the tweezers to place the silicon nitride ceramic balls into the slider.
4.Move the plastic track in one direction; the steel balls inside will follow, allowing for replacement. Repeat this process until all steel balls are replaced.
5.The color of the steel balls is different from that of the silicon nitride ceramic balls, so make sure all of them have been replaced.
6.After replacement, the correct situation is that there is one or two empty spaces inside the slider (actually, one empty space is not large enough to fit a silicon nitride ceramic ball).
7.Place the plastic track with a slider against the metal track and move the slider onto the metal track.
8.Make a comparison using a set of HIWIN guides.
9.After applying sewing machine oil to the guides, make a comparison.
