Z-axis Linear Rail Adjustment Guide

The method is applicable to the Z-axis linear rail upgrade kit sold by TBStron3D, which includes the following models: Neptune 3 Pro, Neptune 3 Plus, Neptune 3 MAX, Neptune 4, Neptune 4 Pro, Neptune 4 Plus, Neptune 4 MAX, Ender 3 S1, Ender 3 S1 Pro, Ender 3 S1 Plus, Anycubic Kobra2 Pro, Anycubic Kobra2 Plus, Anycubic Kobra2 MAX.

Issues Addressed by Adjustment:

1.Gap between the mounting bracket and slider.
2.Inconsistent movement of the Z-axis.

Machine Status in the Video:

1.Lead screw nut not installed because installing lead screw screws would hinder assessing the smoothness of the rail.
2.Other parts of the X-axis not installed.
3.Mounting bracket near the X-axis motor already fixed to the slider.

Adjustment Steps:

1.Secure the lead screw mounting plate and upper profile with the machine's existing screws onto the Z-axis profile. Ensure that the widths of the two Z-axis profiles are the same to avoid discrepancies. (Note: Do not press on the cables with the profile.)
2.Loosen the screws on the backplate and those fixed on the profile. (About one turn should be sufficient.)
3.Move the Z-axis up and down to maintain smooth operation. (In the video, there are rubber plugs both above and below the rail to prevent the slider from sliding out.)
4.Use M3*6 screws to fix the mounting bracket onto the slider.
5.Move the Z-axis up and down again to maintain smooth operation.
6.Tighten the screws on the backplate and those fixing the profile on the right side in the video.
7.Check if the heights on both sides are similar.
8.If there's a significant height difference, make adjustments accordingly. Then move the Z-axis up and down to maintain smooth operation.
9.After ensuring the heights on both sides are close, tighten the screws on the left side.
10.Check for smoothness, and if there's any sticking, repeat the adjustment if necessary.
