How to replace a crab seal and a centrifuge motor • Сатурн - нет отжима, как поменять сальник ...
This video will discuss the centrifuge motor seal, showing you several types of this part. The biggest mistake novice mechanics and ordinary people make is not replacing the diaphragm when replacing the motor themselves. It's important to understand that the spin motor burns out for almost only one reason: water getting on the motor. If the seal fails, water flows directly onto the motor housing. Generally, it's recommended to replace this membrane every 4-5 years; this is usually its service life. Many people ask how to determine if the motor is working properly; sometimes the motor doesn't spin up to the required speed or simply fails to start. This behavior can be caused by three things: a burned-out motor, a burned-out capacitor, or a stuck bushing or membrane rubber. If the motor can only start with a push, the capacitor is likely to be the culprit; it simply needs to be replaced. You can check the capacitor's capacity with a special device, or you can determine if it's working properly by replacing it. If the spin cycle resumes working properly after replacing the capacitor, the motor is still intact. If it doesn't spin up, the motor and seal need to be replaced. You'll learn all about this in this video.
