Crush Depth: Timeline of OceanGate's Titanic Submersible | Short Documentary
On Saturday, June 17th, one day before the Titan is set to begin its descent, U.K. billionaire explorer Hamish Harding revealed on Instagram, that he was part of the crew on the submersible vessel, on their way to explore the Titanic wreckage.
Around an hour and 45 minutes after the start of the journey, the Titan went missing.
An extensive search and rescue operation was initiated.
Unfortunately, the search came to a tragic end on Thursday, after rescue officials discovered debris from the imploded vessel near the wreckage, of the Titanic.
The submarine was confirmed to have suffered a "catastrophic collapse" and that all five people onboard had died.
