Trapped In Darkness: Thai Caving Gone Wrong | Short Documentary
On October 13th, 2007, Helena, her fiancé John and a group of 7 strangers would enter Nam Talu Cave, in Thailand. It was supposed to be a relaxing excursion into a new cave. In what’s known as one of Thailand’s worst accidents, 9 people would enter the cave, but only 1 would come out.
This video details the Nam Talu Cave accident that resulted in the death of all but 1 person. This incident happened years before the Tham Luang cave rescue, but shows the danger involved when exploring caves in Thailand during monsoon season.
