Pastoral Fantasy - Fujikake Hiro | NTU Guitar Ensemble
NTU Guitar Ensemble's annual concert Nocturne 2024, held at The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC) on 23 March 2024.
Pastoral Fantasy by Fujikake Hiro was inspired by the greenery of the Japanese summer, and spotlights the tremolo, a classical guitar technique that creates the impression of a long, sustained note.
The melody of the piece is passed around by the various sections, creating the image of wind passing through a vast, mysterious field. However, as per his trademark, Fujikake invites you, the listener, to conjure up your own interpretation of the piece.
