NTU Guitar Ensemble's annual concert Nocturne 2024, held at The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC) on 23 March 2024.

The Hungarian Dances are one of German composer Johannes Brahms’ most popular works. Hungarian Dance No. 5 was based on csárdás – a type of Hungarian folk dance music – by Hungarian composer Béla Kéler. This piece is known for its dramatic stop-and-go effect, achieved by having loud-and-soft and fast-and-slow parts in quick succession. This is reminiscent of the csárdá, which is characterised by variations in tempo and dynamics; a vibrant piece of music for an equally vibrant dance sequence. The song has been arranged for guitar ensemble by our very own student conductor, Dustin Theofilus.
