Naminori Johnny (波乗りジョ二ー), or “Johnny the Surfer,” is a 2001 song by the Japanese musical legend Kuwata Keisuke (桑田佳祐), known for being a multi-instrumentalist and the frontman of the Japanese rock band, Southern All Stars. The lyrics of this song speak of the carefreeness of summer loves and teenage crushes, placed against the backdrop of a wide, sandy beach and the tall summer waves. Its fun, infectious melody and upbeat rhythm is sure to leave you smiling.
