Many Failures before Success for Dancing Male PIN-TAILED WHYDAH
Enjoy this funny little Male Pin-tailed Whydah's courtship antics. He was one energetic bird, dashing around the field in pursuit of his Juliet. Whenever he could get her attention, he started his enthusiastic dancing in front of her, trying to impress his lady. Only when she was impressed with his display would he get to mate with her.
Pin-tailed Whydahs are residents in Africa, but are non-native in Singapore. Those infrequently observed here in the wild are most likely escaped or/and released birds imported by the pet trade.
