Creality Ender 3 MAX NEO X-Axis Linear Rail Upgrade Installation Guide
Note: Perform the following steps while the machine is powered off. Keep the removed parts properly stored, as most of them will need to be reinstalled. If necessary, take photos before disassembly for reference.
1.Loosen the belt tensioner.
2.Remove both ends of the timing belt.
3.Remove the screws securing the plastic cover.
4.Take off the plastic cover.
5.Detach the printhead assembly, CR-Touch, and side fan from the backplate.
6.Remove the three POM wheels.
7.Unscrew and remove the screws securing the X-axis extrusion.
8.Attach the long bracket to the X-axis extrusion.
9.Secure the linear rail onto the long bracket using M3*5 screws.
10.Attach the short bracket to the slider using M3*5 screws.
11.Secure the backplate to the short bracket using M5*6 screws.
12.Reinstall the printhead assembly, CR-Touch, and side fan onto the backplate.
13.Reattach the plastic cover to the backplate and tighten the securing screws.
14.Fix both ends of the timing belt back onto the backplate.
15.Adjust the belt tension to the appropriate tightness.
The upgrade is complete. After powering on the machine, please perform leveling before starting to print. Thank you!
