💓High Triglycerides: Omega-3 or Krill?🫧 I'll tell you how to take advantage of these good fats without neglecting your heart.

When triglycerides spike, it not only affects your blood test results, but it also increases your risk to your heart. That's why I insist on reviewing what you eat and the fats you choose every day.

🧠 The omega-3 in fish provides EPA and DHA, healthy fats that help regulate triglycerides and cholesterol.

🦐 Krill oil also provides DHA and contains astaxanthin, an antioxidant that improves cell protection and promotes the absorption of these good fats.

🍽 When your plates are full of plantains, yucca, rice, sancocho (a traditional Colombian stew), potatoes, and hot bread every day, your triglycerides start to rise. Your body stores this excess as "energy reserves" in the form of fat.

🧠 🌰 Including nuts, dried fruit, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and the wonderful olive oil helps you add healthy fats that protect your heart.

💊 Generally speaking, without a prescription, doses of up to 2g of omega-3 per day are considered safe; higher doses should always be adjusted under medical consultation, especially when using krill to support high triglycerides and cholesterol.

💬 Have you had high triglycerides or has your doctor already suggested you change your diet? Tell me in the comments what your latest test results showed.

🎥 In this video, I explain how to choose between omega-3 and krill, what role they play in your triglycerides, and how to combine them with healthy fats in your daily routine.

📅 Schedule your virtual or in-person appointment in Cali to review your lab results and create a personalized nutrition and supplement plan tailored to your cardiovascular health. I'd love to help you.
