A numeric value in Microsoft Excel worksheet cell can be converted into words using a function called SpellNumber. Learn how this function works and also learn how to convert numbers to words in Microsoft Excel 2010. Follow the following steps:-
1. Open any web browser. Type spellnumber in its address bar and hit "Enter".
2. Results will be shown up. Click on the first link which should be of Microsoft.
3. Scroll down the page and you will find a code. Copy all the code.
4. Open your Excel document. Click on "File" and when the menu appears, click on "Options". Click on "Customize Ribbon" option located in the left pane. From the list of options of "Main Tabs", enable the option of "Developer". Click OK. Now the "Developer" tab will be enabled in the ribbon. Click on the "Developer" tab and click on "Visual Basic" from it.
5. The "Microsoft Visual Basic" window will appear. Click on the "Insert" menu and select the "Module" option.
6. In the appeared window, paste the copied code.
7. Click on the "File" menu of the "Microsoft Visual Basic" window and from it, click on "Close and Return to Microsoft Excel".
8. Type =SpellNumber(A1) in the cell, in which you want the numbers written in words. In this tutorial, A1 is the cell, which contains number. Hit "Enter".
9. If you want to apply the same formula to other cells also, place your mouse cursor over the lower-right corner of the cell which is converted to words. Left-click on it and drag it down across the column and release it. Numeric value in all the cells will be converted into words.
