How to Change Account Type in Windows 10
When a user installs Windows on a PC, he is required to create a user account. By default, this user is administrator, who will have all the control over that PC. When you add another user account on that same PC, by default this user will be a standard user, who will have limited permissions to use that PC. To change user account type of some user on your Windows 10 PC, follow the following steps:-
1. Click on the Start button and click on "Settings".
2. The "Settings" window will be opened. In this window, click on "Accounts".
3. Navigate to "Family & other users" in the left pane.
4. From the "Other users" section, click on the account, whose you want to change account type and click on the "Change account type" button.
5. From the drop down menu of "Account type", select either "Administrator" or "Standard User" type. Once selected, click on OK.
Congratulations, you have successfully changed account type of selected user account in your Windows 10 PC.
