Some Microsoft Word users find the need to add drop down menu in their Word document. This option is available in the "Developer" tab of Microsoft Word, which is hidden by default. 1. Click on "File" and when the menu appears, click on "Options".
2. Click on "Customize Ribbon" option located in the left pane.
3. From the list of options of "Main Tabs", enable the option of "Developer". Click OK. Now the "Developer" tab will be enabled in the ribbon.
4. Click on the "Developer" tab. In the "Controls" section of it, click on the "Drop Down List Content Control" icon button.
5. Click on "Properties" button also available in the "Controls" section of the "Developer" tab.
6. The "Content Control Properties" window will appear. In the "Title:" text field, type the name for the drop down menu.
7. Click on the "Add..." button. The "Add Choice" window will appear. In the "Display Name:" text field, type an option for the drop down menu. Click OK.
8. Repeat the previous step to add more options to the drop down menu.
9. Finally, click OK. To test whether it really worked or not, click on the down arrow of the drop down menu and you will see that it worked.
