The Beatles: Don't Bother Me Full Instrumental Cover
What an awesome composition for the four to pull off in late 1963. In my opinion, this is the most "musically inclined" song The Beatles had recorded by this time. Overdubbed tambourine, claves, bongos, guitar, and vocals... man! Recorded September 12, 1963 using take 15 as the final master recording. Paul went all out during recording with a heavy groove bass line, and a very difficult claves count. The bass score is definitely up there for best Beatle bass songs. Ringo also grooving with several rocking roll fills, and of course George's lead riff which just tops this song off.
Recreating the claves score that McCartney plays in the recording was very difficult to catch on to. The claves beat feels very off beat, but hey, that's what Paul played, so that's what I play! His bass line as well was a difficult one to learn, but once you get it down, it is so cool. You hear the bongos as well that Ringo played, but it is hard to tell how he played them. My guess was with claves, because it has that deep sound, but it also could have been drumsticks? John's tambourines are audible throughout the track as well. The best part about the tambourine part is that Lennon played after the breaks continuing to the next part in the song... wonderful. We hope you enjoy this cover of "Don't Bother Me."
