The Beatles: I Need You Full Cover
Mike... You're a beast. This was a blast putting vocals over. Quite difficult as well. Do we do more vocal covers? This one's more of a test than anything, but it was still pretty fun. How about the instrumentation? Lovely work done by Michael Sokil! Mixing over Mike's mix might be the hardest thing I've ever done :) We added a little saturation, and darkness to the mix to get more of the vintage tone I guess I could say? Double tracked vocals were also not easy to come by without getting that heavy chorus effect. George's vocals were very close and neat, making the double tracking hard to replicate, while songs where Lennon's vocals are double tracked are very messy, and out of place. It was a very big jump going from a 63'/64' album to 65'... So many things changed with The Beatles in that time, but we thought we would give it a try. A fun little Harrison tune!
