In this video, I want to show you an easy way to create a distorted perspective on text in Adobe Illustrator. Here I have created a background of 2 different colors. I will join them together by creating a group. Create text using the Type Tool, and type the text you want to add.
Enlarge and adjust the position of the text. To make it less distracting, lock the background layer. Next step, highlight the text. Go to Object in the main menu. Select Expand, then OK on Expand Window. After that, use Line Segment Tool. Create a line in the center of the text.
Highlight line and text. After that, go to Properties. In the Path finder, select Divide option. And now, one of the texts has been split into two sides. Double-click on the Text to enter the group text mode view. Select the right side of the Text. I will change the color of the text first. And then create a Group. Do the same with the text on the left.
Double-click to exit the group text mode view. Ungroup text so that the text is separated into two groups. Next step, use the Free Transform Tool. Then select Perspective Distort. Set the size as you need. Do the same with the second group text.
Try to do it in the same position as the other group text. Because I haven't changed the text color on the left, I will change it now. And the result will be like this. Thank you for watching. And see you in another tutorial.
