How to Create Bubbles in After Effects
In this video, I would like to tell you how to easily create a bubble animation using Adobe After Effects. In this project, I have prepared a background with a coral reef under the sea. The first step, create an Adjustment layer. After that, add the CC Bubbles effect to the Adjustment layer.
If you look at the preview, you can see the bubbles on a transparent background. In the Effect Controls panel, you can change the values as needed. In this tutorial, I only made a few changes. In Reflection Type, just leave it in the Liquid option if you are going to create a bubbles effect.
And for Shading Type, I still use Fade Inwards. To show the background on the bubbles, add CC Composite to the Adjustment Layer. In the CC Composite settings, uncheck RGB Only. In the Composite Original option, change it to Behind. Because the bubble is still not clearly visible, add the Curves effect.
Make sure the Curves effect is on top of CC Composite. And now, we just need to drag the white line. The bubbles have started to appear now. Just adjust the Curves settings as needed. In the Bubbles Amount setting, I will add keyframes so that the number of bubbles increases slowly.
And now I want to add text to the project. If you want the text to be affected by bubbles, then place the text layer under the Adjustment layer. The text will now appear to have a bubble effect. And this is how it turned out, after I added the Text In and Text Layer effects that created using Animation Composer.
