How to Create Bricks Pattern in Adobe Illustrator
In this video, I want to show you how to create the Bricks Pattern in Adobe Illustrator. First step, create a rectangle shape using the rectangle tool. Make sure the Stroke setting is off. Then next, I create a small rectangle for the sides. For the top side, I use white color.
Move the shape right on the top side. I will lower the opacity value to 35 percent. Drag the shape while holding down ALt key, and then hold down the Shift key so that it moves precisely. On the shape for the bottom, right and left sides, I changed the color to black.
To make it easier, duplicate the shapes at the bottom for the right and left sides again. Shorten the excess rectangle area until it is the same height as the main shape. Do the same for the right side of the list. To shorten the duration, I'll just cut it off while equalizing the shape size, and create the shape for the right side.
When it looks like that, use the Direct Selection Tool. Click on the right corner point, then make it into a knot like that. Do the same for each corner. When it looks like that, select all the layers. Then make them into one Group. IAnd then , move it to the top left.
Drag while holding down the Alt key to duplicate, and press Shift to move straight. Next, I create a box to be used as a reference space on each brick. place it right next to the first brick, then move the second brick next to the black box.
To sample the spacing size before duplicating, move the black shape to the right of the second brick. Drag the brick again while holding down the Alt key, and press Shift. after that press Ctrl + D to duplicate. Do this as many times as needed. Move that black shape down.
Select a row of bricks that have been created, then make it a group. Drag the group while pressing the Alt key. Place it right to the bottom of the black shape. Then drag it to form a shape like that. Make sure to move it straight and precisely. Move the black shape to the bottom again.
Select both rows of bricks. Then make them into a group. Drag the group down while pressing the Alt key. Place it right below the black box. Press Ctrl + D to duplicate as many times as needed. Because the black shape is no longer needed, we can hide or delete it.
Select all the layers, then make them into a group. Create a new shape according to the size of the Artboard. After that, right-click. Arrenge. then choose Send to back. Selection everything, then make it into one Group. If it looks like that, you can add the Grain Texture effect. You can set the Intensity and Contrast values as needed.
So that it looks neat and according to the size of the artboard, create a new shape using the Rectangle Tool. Set the size to match the Artboard. Selection everything. Right-click, and then select Make Clipping Mask. And the result will be like this after it is finished in Export. That's how I created the Bricks Pattern in Adobe Illustrator. Thank you for watching.
