Opening the Kiln
Unpacking pots from the kiln is always an eagerly anticipated part of the making process. It’s usually enjoyable and rewarding but also a relief. Although I have a fairly good idea about what will happen to the materials that I’ve applied I never fully know how they are going to react and look. Handling and feeling the pots also tells me something about them and is also enjoyable and insightful.
As my pots are all very individual, they all need carefully analysis to review each one to help me decide whether they are complete or need further work and more firings.
I will select from this group of work to make my next Online Exhibition that will be hosted on my website and starts at 7pm (UK time) on Friday 18th November 2022.
