Making Clay Slabs
The start of my making process is to prepare some clay slabs. I make these using my hands and a rolling pin rather than a slab roller. I explain the benefits of using my hands and a rolling pin in this video. The clay I am using is Earthstone Handbuilding Material (ES 40) which is a medium grogged clay that fires to an off white colour that is a good base for other colours than I then add.
