Earl F. Holyfield was born June 2, 1901, in Norfolk, Nebraska. He attended school in Waynoka and saw Halley’s comet when it passed by in 1910. He went on to attend Oklahoma A&M in the 1920s where he was a member of the band and majored in architecture. Holyfield was an architect for SW utilities and designed the house in which he lived.
