Leo Rickman was born September 24, 1946 in Bartlesville. He graduated high school in 1964 and went on to attend Oklahoma State University where he studied Liberal Arts. He married Cheryl Holt in 1966 and worked at Bill's Supermarket stocking shelves. After leaving OSU, Leo went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad as a ticker clerk then to Cities Service where he worked with the billing department. Additionally, Leo worked for Well's Supermarket and Reda Pump/TRW. He had a stroke in 2016 and was diagnosed with lung cancer. He underwent a procedure to remove the infected part of the lung. His stroke has affected his memory and he has lost feeling in his right hand. At the time of the interview. Leo is battling cancer that has spread to his esophagus and liver. Cheryl and Leo discuss the challenges with cancer and the stroke and the frustration associated with the challenges.
