Hey, come on in, everybody! I'm Slushy, and in this video, I'm going to show you how you can apply a few simple tricks to create amazing collectibles for your Godot Engine games. Collectibles that players will actually WANT to collect!
I'll use Affinity Designer to create a sparkle graphic that will be used in several places to create awesome-looking particle effects on the Gems used in the game I'm working on called Jetpack Miner.
I'm also giving you a Godot Engine script you can use in your games to make your graphics hover up-and-down or shake side-to-side. You can find the script in the official Godot Engine Asset Library: https://godotengine.org/asset-library...
Additionally, I'm giving you the Gem scene itself that I'm using in Jetpack Miner and that is featured in this video. The Gem scene contains the gem graphic, the sparkle graphic, the hover script, and the particle system already hooked up so you can place these gems in your scenes and use them immediately!
