Hi, everyone! Today I want to show you how you can go about creating clean footstep sounds for your games (or anything else), and I also want to show you how to put those into your Godot Engine game so your characters can make footstep sounds when they walk!

In the first half of the video, I'm going to talk about Audacity, which is a free, open-source piece of software that lets you open, edit, and save sound files in a variety of sound formats. I'll show you where to go to download it, and then after it's installed, I'll show you how to open a sound file that you can record on your phone, clean up any extra noise, and then save your footstep sounds as individual sound files.

In the second half of the video, I'm going to show you one way you can add these sounds to your Godot Engine game and have them play randomly any time your character's foot hits the ground!

As always, thank you for watching! Be excellent to each other, and I'll see you next time ;)
