Lovely June flowers in a cottage garden
June is a month simply full of flowers, nepeta walkers low and alchemilla mollis are everywhere in the background, with stars of the show in the stately forms of delphiniums, lavender, bold veronicastrum, day lilies, knautia of various colours, and the early pink and purple flower heads of the numerous ornamental grasses. June is a month to rejoice in the wonderful complexity of the layered planting, and rejoice in the range of colour combinations.
