Magically misty morning in the cottage garden.
The gentle dawn light makes the colours in the garden glow, an effect only enhanced by the mist lifting from the lake down in the valley. The wet year has created wonderfully lush growth which has filled the garden so that in many places the plants are right up against the path and you have to push your way through. The contrast with the more open spaces in the garden, by the front door and on the lawn, become even more significant at this time of year.
